  1. Hi Serena! Wow, this site is amazing! Its both informative and thought-provoking. Also, it’s a practical way to store information about your dissertation and get people reading about the subject while its being written. I hope that you’ve gotten some useful feedback from people, I’m thinking of starting my own blog so this is great inspiration:)

  2. Thanks Elizabeth – I’m glad you found me! Happy blogging!

  3. I was a patient at a county hospital in Texas for the most of 2 years. Every black woman who arrived on the GYN floor left sterilized. It mattered not if they we 12 or 80. All women of color left sterile. I underwent a lengthy series of surgeries to repair damage done by a rapist and by less than competent surgeons. ferlady@pacbell.net

    • Hi Jacqualine –

Thanks so much for your comment! I have been away from the blog for a while and just found your comment when I logged in to finally begin updating the blog with additional resources I have come across. So, unfortunately it seems your comment has sat in the “moderation” file for quite some time – I’m really sorry! I am also very sorry to hear of the heartbreaking experiences you lived through. Please know that I sincerely appreciate you taking the time to share your story with me and other readers of this site. Best –

  4. I FOUND YOU! Over six years ago I saw a segment on national news about this very subject….unfortunately, I became a victim of this genocide. Which has become my motivation for studying the subject.

I am also very sorry to hear that you were subjected to this violence. Please know that I sincerely appreciate you taking the time to share this with me and other readers of this site, and I wish you the best with your continuing research. Best –
